Hani ZahraHani Zahra 6th Dan, is the NSW Chief Instructor of Yoseikan Ryu Karate. He is a Primary School Principle with over 28 years experience in Karate Do.

Hani first met Branco in 1989 when he was a 14 year old National Junior Team Member. In 1993 Branco was delighted when Hani approached him about Joining Yoseikan. Branco and Hani have a personal relationship, which can only be beneficial to the development of Yoseikan.

As a competitor, Hani has won over 15 National gold medals, including the prestigious Male Open Kumite. He is also the only competitor to Captain the Australian Junior Team three years in succession. Internationally, Hani has won six medals, three of them gold. This includes his outstanding gold medal victory at the 1994 Junior World Cup.

As a coach, Hani has produced many State and National Champions and an array of international medallists. He has the ability to coach kata and kumite athletes to an international standard.

In 1997, Hani was elected to the executive committee of the NSW Karate Federation. The same year saw him appointed as State Coach, making him the youngest executive member and coach in the Federation’s history.
